Flushing Spring Festival: Celebrating with Special Needs Children (春联)

On February 21st, Entong volunteered at a Lunar New Year celebration in Flushing for participants with special needs. He led calligraphy activities where participants practiced writing traditional Spring Festival couplets (春联) on red paper — a joyful expression of good wishes for the Year of the horse.

The event brought together volunteers, families, and community members for an afternoon of creativity and cultural connection. Watching participants raise their finished couplets with pride was, by any measure, the best part of the day.
